'Simply stunning and so intricate. Hardly anything has changed since the original picture was drawn. I love its quirkiness!'  KR

The map features the Wall Game, Field Game, Boating Song, the school Houses and intricate details of the buildings and landscape of Eton College.  There are humorous depictions of the school laundry, sanatorium, specialist study rooms and much, much more.

Hester Wagstaff's own personal hand coloured version of the map has remained in the Wagstaff family for the last 70 years and in 1948 she gave permission for the original black and white version to be reproduced as end pages in B R J 'Bud' Hill's book about Eton College, entitled Eton Medley.

Words of ART are offering Giclee fine art quality prints only or framed prints of the map in its original size of 60cms x 50cms (23.5" x 20") and an A3 size 42cms x 30cms (16.5" x 12").  Prices for a print of the original size are £45.00 and the A3 are £35.00.

Hester Wagstaff, was the author and illustrator of a number of children's books in the 1930s and 40s and ran the Petersfield Workshops in Hampshire with Flora Twort who she met whilst studying at the Slade School of Art.  They were both instrumental in starting the Petersfield Arts & Crafts Society in 1934, which still thrives today!
